Polymer Clay (known by brand names Sculpey and Fimo, among others), is a special material that remains soft and pliable forever, without keeping it air-tight, yet fires rock-hard in the toaster oven. Polymer clay comes with the color mixed in, and is even available in special mixes that look like granite, metals and other cool textures. Polymer clays are expensive when compared to traditional clay, so they are perfect for the MicroWheel™ miniature potter's wheels! You can throw vases, pots, amphoras, etc., and fire then in your home oven or even toaster oven in 15 minutes. Fired pieces are waterproof and rigid, and can even be sanded, drilled and carved.
